Assignment #3
I think Powerpoin depends on how people use it well because there are some people that are really good by using the Powerpoint, but thee are some that can not use it that well. PowerPoint can be useful in some ways, but can also be not so useful in some way depending on the person doing the presentation on how well he/she does the powerpoint. But if I was doing a presentation with the Powerpoint, I would keep informations in bullet points, but for each bullet points I would talk more about it by expaoining it, so that the people that are listening to me would have a clear understanding of the subject. What I would change during presentations or using the powerpoint are by not just reading what it says on the powerpoin, but instead say it in my own words with more explanation than what it says on the slide and make the powerpoint just simple and nothing that would make my audience get distrcated. For example, not too many animations or sound effects because that easily gets their attention. If I was teaching a class I would probably use powerpoint or some kind of program to help teach to my class to keep my teachings very organize and legable for my students because if I would just us the whiteboard to teach the students, they will have a hard time reading my handwriting. My powerpoint will be very simple but interesting at the same time, and very easy for my students to understand. For each topic I would probably add pictures to make it even easier and get my students to see what I am talking about. If I would not use Poerepoint my class would probably get totally bored and get really confused of what I am talking about. By using the powerpoin I would put only the main ideas or infrmation that I want my class to know and just get to the point of what I want them to know. But I would not just read to them whatever it says on my slides, I would explain it to them what I mean because they can read too.

Assignment #1: Powerpoint is/not Evil....
The program Power Point is a worldwide known program. Everyone Edward says that computer programs for presentations is everywhere. It is used in corporate America, government bureaucracies, and also at school. Children are being taught how to formulate client pitches and infomercials instead of teaching them how to write reports using sentences. It is better if students just learned how to write essays and doing reports instead of learning how to use PowerPoint. When Powerpoint is used for a present like for example talking about business. When there is too much information given from the powerpoint with less time, it is hard to understand what the speaker is talking about. By using visual things for presenting something like pictures, charts, and tables helps the audience to understand what the presenter is talking about. But of course, the pictures must go along with the topic because it will be just useless. Presentations should not harm if you do everything by not making your audience bored and also distracted. Tom Rocklin says it is not best if a teacher concentrates more on his powerpoint presentation than his/her students' learning. But he says that he has no doubt about Powerpoint even encourage and support bad teachings. It is way easier to use technology because than you can just type everything instead of using ink and paper and write everything out. It is also easier to hand quizes instead writing them on the board. Using Powerpoint and many other programs can be very useful in some ways. But many might say it is not it just depends on people how they use the technology.
